Here’s what one of our lovely members had to say about the fair last year.
“The Fota Plant Fair is a fantastic speciality plant fair held annually here in Cork at Fota House and gardens.
The southern contingency of the Flower Farmers of Ireland attended the fair last year to promote our organisation. In addition we wanted to highlight to the plant and garden lovers of Cork that locally grown flowers, grown with the seasons and in tune with nature are available in Cork and around the country.
We brought plants which produce cut flowers, everything from Nigella, poppys to plants that produce flowers for drying like craspedia.
It was a great day with high interest from the public in the FFOI group and we sold a lot of plants. What really came across was the love people have for nature and its beauty which is embodied in fresh seasonal flowers.”
