Wedding and event flowers - Meath, Westmeath, Cavan and surrounding counties.

Inspired by the seasons and boasting the best of Irish grown flowers, Fernwood Flowers is a boutique flower farm and design studio owned by myself, Brigid Riley.

On returning home to Ireland in 2015 after 19 years working as an event and floral stylist in Washington DC and London, England, I launched Fernwood Flowers, a flower farm and design studio near Oldcastle, Co. Meath. Here we work to promote a sustainable approach to floral design, opting to showcase seasonal, scented, naturally- grown flowers. The farm is nestled among the rolling hills of the northern tip of county Meath, the Cavan border just cutting around our property. Our main focus is on weddings and special occasions but during the growing season (March- October) we offer field-fresh bouquets for local delivery and collection and for local restaurants, hotels and guesthouses. Fernwood Flower Farm was born from a desire to get away from the uniformity of commercially- grown imported flowers. I was craving more fluid lines and softer edges to my floral designs and the airmiles and chemicals used on imported flowers were bothering me on an environmental level. Inspired by the natural movement and texture found in the surrounding landscape, I started some packets of seeds and began using the flowers in my design work. My clients were impressed so I grew some more, thus expanding the cutting garden and creating a reputation for evocative compositions of flowers, foliage, fruits and branches.

We work in venues all across Meath, Cavan and surrounding counties and create bouquets for local collection and delivery. Please get in touch if you’d like to place an order.
