Welcome to The Flower Farmers of Ireland!

Seasonal, scented, freshly-harvested Irish cut flowers and foliage, grown with love and arranged with flair…this is what’s at the heart of the Flower Farmers of Ireland association, whose members can be found from the wilds of west Cork to the meadowlands of Leitrim.

Seasonal Spotlight

Here’s what’s happening with our members at the moment:

It’s almost time…

…for Irish Flower Week 2022!

Irish Flower week is our annual ‘Big Push’ to promote Irish-grown flowers, and the hard-working Flower Farmers who make it all possible. Watch out for our members appearing in local and National media, including RTE’s ‘Climate Heroes’. in 2022, Irish Flower Week runs from the 3rd to the 10th of July.

The flowers are at their peak right about now, but our members tend their crops all year ’round, just as any farmer would. Flowers support Pollinators, which in turn support both other flowers and our vital food crops. Local flowers don’t have to be transported in refrigerated containers for thousands of kilometres. Revenue generated by the sale of locally-grown flowers stays in the local economy and supports local employment. Buying your next bouquet from a member of the Flower Farmers of Ireland will reduce harm to the environment, support local enterprise AND bring unsurpassed fragrance, colour and beauty into your home, all at the same time!

You can find YOUR local Flower Farmer(s) on our Directory page, or if you’re a Florist looking to use more Irish Flowers in your arrangements, you can find a list of our members who are able to supply in quantity on our ‘For Florists‘ page. We have a record number of members this year so these lists are being updated all the time.

Next week is going to be pretty hectic for us but you can keep up with happenings (and get some free ‘eye-candy’) by following us on Instagram, but in the meantime, here are some highlights from last years Irish Flower Week event:

A seasonal feast for the eyes.

A seasonal feast for the eyes.

We’re all about seasonality. That means being out on the land all year round, so we can see (and take pride in) our flowers and foliage celebrate the ever-shifting beauty of the Irish year. Our members take it in turns to run our social media accounts so our Instagram feed always has a fresh perspective.
